John Henline -
Spring Island, South Carolina
An acclaimed Arnold Palmer golf course is the centerpiece of this exclusive South Carolina Low Country Horse
Community, where 3,000-acres of lush maritime forest have been preserved for the exclusive enjoyment of no more
than 400 families.
Our equestrian facilities are, not
arguably but certainly, as superb as they get. Our 24-stall barn is neat. We even have dinner parties in here. It
is surrounded by 15 grass paddocks, a chicken coop, a dozen chickens of assorted breed who are all prolific egg
makers, several ducks, one peacock and Nigel, Melanie’s new Jack Russell puppy.
We also have two riding rings, one for hunters and jumpers and one for pleasure and beginning
riders. The complex covers 30 fenced acres. Once aboard, riders have 35 miles of trails to enjoy, either
through the forest or along the edge of the marsh or golf course, all the way to the Golf House where Melanie and
her companions often stop for lunch.
Homes and undeveloped lots available, priced from about $250,000 to $6.7
