This new Horse Community is located west of Charleston off of Highway 17.
Single Family Homes and Homesites consisting of 104 single-family homes and homesites with expansive marsh,
deep-water or pond views. The majority of these homes are located near the main entrance to the property and extend
toward and around the community boathouse.
Town homes and Cottage Homes consisting of 167 town homes and cottage homes with views of the marsh or the
community park and ponds. Ground will be broken on this phase of development early in 2008.
Poplar Grove's equestrian area consists of lots, ranging in size from 3 to 20 acres. South Carolina's first "Green"
barn, a community center, community boat landing, boat storage, equestrian riding trails and kayak outposts will
also be constructed in the equestrian phase.
Plantation-size lots will range in size from 20 to 100 acres, and will be the only individually gated properties in
The Poplar Grove Equestrian Center will have 22 generous stalls and pasture acreage, as well as turnout paddocks,
round pens, and quality all-weather (including covered) arenas. More than 50 miles of trails and hoof-friendly
lanes are planned that will provide for horseback riding and carriage driving along waterways, canals and marshes.
This equestrian community will enjoy all types of horse-related activities.
