Established in 1973, this Horse Community of Hidden Glen is a planned unit development consisting of 60
single-family homes, built on lots ranging in size from approximately 0.37 acres to 0.69 acres. The Hidden Glen is
located in California's Santa Cruz County's Monterey Bay area just outside the city limits of Scotts Valley
near Lockewood Lane and Graham Hill Road.
The community is nestled amongst some 60 acres of well-forested lands that include Oaks,
Redwoods, Ponderosa Pines and Madrones. The association of members also own, in common, several shared amenities
including swimming pool, tennis courts, horse stable, tot lot, picnic and game areas, as well as roughly 25 acres
of forested green belt areas. All of these amenities are for the exclusive use of its members and accompanied
The Horse Community’s stable is for members only and has room for up to 16 horses in 15’ by 30’ stalls; roughly 40%
of the stall is under cover of the barn’s roof. The stable is on over an acre of land and has a barn with a 2200 sq
ft hayloft, a 700 sq ft tack house for tack, lockers and a bathroom, a 65’ by 135’ riding arena, and a large
turnout corral. The HG stables are within a short ride to Henry Cowell Park with its numerous riding trails.
Members can also ride their horses within the common grounds of HG as well. An additional monthly fee is charged
for members who board their horses at the stable.
