DIAMOND A RANCH
Diamond A Ranch is a 175 estate home Horse Community located on a former 1,400 acre cattle ranch in the western
hills of Sonoma off of Grove Street.
It was developed in the 1960’s with emphasis on equestrian activities with parcels ranging in size from one to over
ten acres. In addition to the Property Owners Association, we have three other organizations, The Mutual Water
Company, The Recreation Association, The Equestrian Association and there is also a small volunteer fire station
operated by Sonoma Valley FireMed.
The Diamond A Recreation Center was incorporated in 1968, as a non-profit corporation, specifically designed to
provide a recreational place for member families to gather, socialize, and form a genuine sense of community.
Complete with an equestrian arena, double-court tennis court, full-size pool, playground, baseball diamond, walking
trail, and indoor facility, the club grounds are run by volunteers. The volunteer nature has historically helped to
maintain a very low-cost structure.
Diamon A Ranch Horse Community maintains one of the best private trail systems in our state or even perhaps the
United States. Bridges have been built, trails have been cut on steep easements to make them passable. This has
been a wonderful community effort. Our trail system is a special attraction to our home owners and prospective home
